Because the two main routes I have worked on so far have been real life, I have a fictional route where I test all my new ideas, mainly to avoid placing something in a real life route and messing it up, or changing a track gradient by accident that can potentially ruin any miles of track if saved incorrectly. Also, when building real life routes, it takes away the imagination factor so messing about with something else can be fun at times. I haven't done a great deal on it but you guys may as well have a look.

The route is called "North Country" with the principal station (so far!) being called Mellanby Junction. Here are some shots of the station and the adjacent Mellanby Yard. It is set in the early 90's, the main reason for that is because my other two routes are present day and I have never managed to upload any screenshots of the wonderful IC Swallow livery.

Cheers!

Some shots from the little village of Malternby and Malternby Pass. If you look very closely at one of the night shots, you can see the signalman ready to hand over the token for the single line working.

I have still been "messing" around with this route as a break from the "real life" side of route building. A few shots showing "eighties" style signage as well as the approach to Mellanby Junction featuring a well known telecommunications factory. Of course, in the era of this route, the phones would have been like house bricks.

And it looks absolutely superb! Going to be a vital addition to anyone's game of RS I'd say.

It's all looking fantastic so far, keep up the good work!
