Normal ticket unavailable during engineering works

Hi,
I'm planning to make a journey from Fleet to Tunbridge Wells on the 4th of October when Waterloo East is closed.
The normal through tickets says via London not underground. Yet when I look on all the planners, including the forum planner, it is either giving me the route via London but obviously using the tube between Waterloo and London bridge which southeastern say is available on that day because of the engineering works. Or it sends me on some convoluted route doubling back to Clapham Junction then Victoria then changing at Tonbridge or even via Redhill.
But the journey via London it is giving me a split fare involving the underground which is obviously dearer than the normal fare.
I'm just intrigued as to how you actually buy either online or from the machine the normal fare as southeastern say you can use it on the tube on that day.

It won't be possible to buy the ticket on a ticket issuing system that uses a journey planner unless Southeastern request a temporary Routeing Guide easement to allow the ticket to be used on what would normally be an invalid route. It might be possible to buy it on the Southeastern website if you plan a journey for a different day, save it as a favourite, then use the favourite rather than the full journey planner.

Depending on the software in use, a Ticket Office or TVM should be able to sell the cheaper ticket as well.
