I was going up the stairs from Willesden Junction low level, when I heard the thumper (what a wonderful sound), and just caught sight of it going round the bend - a very impressive sight. I'd never expected to see a Hastings guage DEMU there of all places. Is it possible to tell whether it was 1001 on its own, or coupled with one of the other preserved DEMUs?

Possibly it's still too far away or could change yet anyway, not a massive deal just wondering as I'm booked on it all the way to Cardiff with an advance ticket and noticed it ran as a single 2-car 197 throughout on Friday just gone. Cheers.

I can't tell you what will be on it, as nobody will know until the day, however looking at the LTP diagrams it is booked for a 3 car 197.
