Non-stop split with overlapping validity

I have found a possible fare for a journey I will be regularly making soon. I'm going to use a different one here as the real one undercuts the intended fare but it's the same idea. Let's say it's a Woking - East Croydon "not via London" return which can be used changing between SWR and Southern at Clapham Junction (CLJ).

The journey I'd like to make using the non-stop split is Woking - Waterloo on a non-stop service with a daily zones 1-6 travelcard. I'm functionally breaking my journey at CLJ and discarding the unused validity on the point-to-point ticket, without stopping, and moving to using the travelcard. So this is what I'm not sure about - doing a non-stop split with a ticket that is not at the end of its validity.

Unless Condition 14.1 applies, if you are using a Season Ticket, daily Zonal Ticket, or another area based Ticket such as a concessionary pass, ranger, or rover, in conjunction with another Ticket and the last station at which one Ticket is valid and the first station that the other Ticket is valid are the same, then the train does not need to Call at that station for your combination to be valid.

So from my reading this isn't possible as the validities overlap instead of neatly matching eg a boundary zone 6 ticket. I'd just like to get other people's views as the words I've underlined above seem to block this. For whatever reason on my first reading before writing any of this post, I'd interpreted it as my plan being allowed, so I'd like a sanity check from someone else.

And if anyone has experience with how SWR guards would likely react to this sort of thing that would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Re your example case: I don't think you'd need to worry about the overlapping validity despite the wording of 14.3. Have a look at this thread...
