Not something i do very often, and i will freely admit to having little bus knowlege, (so if the comments on the photos are wrong forgive me i tried to research them the best as i could) here are the pictures taken from only my second Bus Rally. While trying to cover all aspects of British Transport i have tried to attend events i would not normally attend, however, an enjoyable day and the photos are here for your enjoyment.

Tom, thank you for making me aware of my mistakes, they will be changed immediately, as i previously stated I have little knowlege and i am trying to recognise and understand what bus is what. Glad you liked them :)

PS, do you mind if i use that information about the National being originally a National 2?

Karl :)

Looks like a good lineup. The Ailsa looks great.

There is also a minor problem with the captions on your Sullivan Buses shots 8)

Why would I mind!

If you want more info: LS443 was a Red Arrow vehicle for its entire life, wore a Routemaster registration for a while (WLT843) before it was sent to Reigate (a London & Country garage) in 1994 and was converted to Greenway. London General removed the Routemaster plate and it got reregistered to PMY178W and was bought for preservation direct out of service in August 2002. Thankfully its original registration (GUW443W) was returned and it now lives happily in Kent.

Forgot to say, nice photos. Its a shame that rallys are so Routemaster dominated yet this one seems to have a real local feel with the VR's and Ailsa's as well as the tweedy open platform stuff which is nice.

The interesting thing is Herne Bay was home to the last Leyland Titan ever build (T1125) and it became a pet bus with Stagecoach and was one of the last Titans (of many!) that East Kent actually ran. It was offered for sale for further preservation however it was for silly money and I believe it ended up at Wealden PSV (Dealer) and its future remains sadly uncertain.

EDIT: I just noticed I did say nice photos, but hey may as well say it again :)
