How many stations have (or have had) platforms outside numbers one to thirty?

I remember Leeds used to have Platform X and Haymarket has Platform 0: any more (past or present)?

cardiff Central has platform 0 and waterloo east is letters which makes it confusing enough

The through Thameslink Platforms at St Pancras International are A (southbound) and B (northbound)

Platform 0 is now in use at Kings Cross & there is also platform 0 at Stockport.

The whole of New Cross station- it is lettered A-D, apparently due to the proximity to New Cross Gate.

Anyway, 0 is "numeric".

Plenty on 1a 2b's ect on the rail network which makes them half numeric. Thanks for expanding on station lettering at waterloo east

King's Cross has its odd pre-train queueing system, labelled as QA-QD. I find it odd that it still persists despite the shift towards reservation-compulsory ticketing.

This is the same reason Waterloo East is lettered - to save confusion with Waterloo.

On a similar note, it is interesting, therefore, that Catford and Catford Bridge both have platforms 1 and 2...

I don't think it's used as a matter of course now, but I've certainly seen it used at particularly busy times in the last few years.

It tends not to be very well explained and poorly used especially as it goes round corners - even people queueing often don't realise that they're supposed to follow the pattern on the floor.

The queueing system at Kings Cross does get used, especially at busy times where two or three trains are being prepared for service, and are departing in quick succession. GC use it quite often.
When a train is announced you get a huge long snake heading for the platforms, though some at the back of the queue do tend to go the other way and cut out half of the people depending on the queue letter and the eventual platform!!
QA is off the ends of Ps 2 & 3 and so on.

Don't remember platform X but Leeds certainly had a platform W before the 2001 rebuild (now platform 1). I like to think that this was because it is the last remaining part of Wellington Street station.

Maybe I remember wrongly; it was at the 2001 rebuild, when more bay platforms were being added, but before they renumbered the whole station

There was W, X and Y IIRC, which were Platforms 1,2 and 3 in the final station. I think W was platform 1.
