Hello, I wanted to know if the TFL nominee pass works in Reading via Elizabeth line. If so how does it work, since you cannot use oyster card at readings station?

Yes. The pass is valid to Reading on the Elizabeth Line. When I've use my pass there, I just tell the barrier staff that I've arrived on / intend to travel on that line and not GWR or SWR services.

Also, If I take elizabeth line to reading directly, to exit the barriers do I just show them my pass?

Do I also tap in or just show staff my pass at other stations?

At Reading (and Shenfield) Passes will not work the gates but are valid for travel and you need to find gateline staff for assistance.
At all other stations where the pass is valid you should use the gates by tapping in/out

I'm quite confident it works at Shenfield. It's mainly Iver - Reading where it doesn't work, which are the contactless only, non-Oyster stations. Those are the stations where you have to show your pass as the readers are not setup for Oyster.

My staff TfL (not nominee) worked at Shenfield, maybe it’s just nominee’s set up to be rejected?

Reading - Iver is weird because contactless only is valid for passengers but Oyster is the method of ticket vaildity for TfL staff/nominees for a TfL managed service! You have to show a member of station staff (GWR or Elizabeth line as applicable) and they’ll wave you through.

Other than Reading, the other stations you’ll need to show the pass at are: Twyford, Maidenhead, Taplow, Burnham, Slough, Langley and Iver.

Everywhere (Shenfield should be okay if relevant but there’s mixed opinions) else you can tap normally.
