There's a short but fairly loud stretch of 'rail roar' on the southbound track approaching Wrenbury Station (between Crewe & Shrewsbury). I'm sure I can remember the roar from when I first travelled on the train to Shrewsbury in the early 2000s, and it was definitely still there when I used the line last week. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed it and for those who have been travelling along the line for many decades, can you remember if the roar was there even back in the 70s/80s?
