In terms of rattle and vibration, I can't think of anything close to 104s in their latter days (though I never did experience Cravens 105s), other than the French metre-gauge DC stock on the Cerdagne line (the enclosed stock- open carriages aren't real trains!) which were just shy of 100 years old when I rode them. Not a DMU, of course though!
