No trains this morning for various reasons on 6 Valley lines (Maesteg, Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhymney and Ebbw Vale) ?
Ebbw Vale is not a "Valley line".No trains this morning for various reasons on 6 Valley lines (Maesteg, Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhymney and Ebbw Vale) ?
It's included in the valley lines rover ticketEbbw Vale is not a "Valley line".
... and even runs up a valley. It's not a 'core valley' line though, but then neither is Maesteg. It's included in the valley lines rover ticket
Yes. According to TfW Journeycheck this morning Tondu 'box, and hence the Maesteg branch, was closed due to no signaller being available.I understand that some of the Valley Lines were closed due to a signaller falling ill and leaving a Box unmanned.
In fact the only trains running from Queen St are the city line and the Rhymney line was like a ghost town this weekend.Yes. According to TfW Journeycheck this morning Tondu 'box, and hence the Maesteg branch, was closed due to no signaller being available.
The other branches are closed for planned engineering work in connection with the Metro project.
Tondu had to close early morning due to the signaller becoming ill.
Rhymney to Ystrad under T3 for the week, the TAM via Radyr as above.
Ebbw Vale again under T3 for the week, this block was meant to allow the new signalling to be commissioned and transferred to SWCC, although it’s been pushed back to December now.
It's the railway way of saying there is a possession on the line, so the line is blocked.
T3 is the rule book code for a possession of the line for engineering work. It's the railway way of saying there is a possession on the line, so the line is blocked.
