No trains between Sheffield and Lincoln Sunday 22/12

Apparently due to more trains than usual needing repair

All of the above cancelled and the Huddersfield to Lincoln trains and Lincoln to Huddersfield ones all start at Sheffield or terminate at Sheffield which is also apparently due to the same reason above.

I've seen some services cancelled on a day due to this but not the entire service. Considering these services are all normally pacer operated on a Sunday has this been caused by Northern speeding up their pacer withdrawals?

Inmy humble opinion, if actually usable trains are being scrapped (which I suspect they are) there is no excuse for rolling stock shortages.

It looks like there is instead an hourly bus at xx:45 from Sheffield, taking 2h12 to Lincoln. Ridiculous for a journey of 50 miles.

 

[Failed Unit]

I do find that hard to believe on a Sunday. Most routes have less frequently / length.
