No Thameslink trains on 11 December?

I have trouble producing itineraries between Cricklewood and Loughborough on 11 December. Checking the timetable I see there are no Thameslink trains for most of the day between London St Pancras and Bedford, while the EMR has STP (short term planning) its whole timetable to include the following:
* London St Pancras - Wellingborough: 1 tph, calling at the usual stations
* London St Pancras - Nottingham: diverted via Corby (reversing at Leicester) with pick up only northbound / set down only southbound at Luton Airport Parkway, Luton and Bedford
* London St Pancras - Sheffield: diverted via Corby (reversing at Leicester), first stop Wellingborough

Both Thameslink and EMR website don't show any engineering work planned on that day on the line. However, the EMR timetable suggest that the line between Kettering and Leicester is closed.

What happens on that day? Why are there no trains?

They are shown up to 0946 (all starting from STP HL as the core is presumably shut). I presume they are having problems with finalising the timetable for the rest of the day - but at least for once they haven't loaded the normal timetable!

I have bought a pair of Advance tickets with bike reservations for Bedford - Loughborough only and a day return from Cricklewood to Bedford (specifying one of the early morning trains to Bedford and an open return) after studying the fare table (that the same tier of Advance ticket is much more expensive to Luton compared to Bedford).

Will there be an RMT strike on 11 December? Trainsplit says so but I can't find any news article on that. If the journey can't happen I'll need to decide if I should buy a coach ticket or not sign up for the event.
