I'm running BVE 4 on Windows XP SP3. The app loads fine but will not render any scenery - just a block of colour. The cab render is fine.

It's the same with all trains and routes. I've got the latest releases of .Net.

Anyone help please?

The most likely reason is your Object folder is not in the right place.

It should be in one called railway along with the route and sound folders.

You get nothing outside the cab as bve4 can not find it in the railway folder and bve4 will still load without any route objects.

Thanks Wim GPR. I've checked the directory and Object is indeed in the railway folder....at the moment there are 4 folders within Object...two routes and two signal.

I've noticed that when BVE is run in a window, right at the top of the window you can see a few lines of scenery - then the large limp of colour starts. There are also blobs of colour around the cab controls that have animation....it's all rather odd!

Sounds like a graphics card issue to me, what model of card are you using?

Probably is. I'd check out your system as well to see if anything needs upgrading. Click 'Start' and type in 'dxdiag' to see your computers performance ratings.
