No real changes to the new ATW timetable

apart from a train leaving chester going to manchester airport in the middle of the night, that is a waste. no new aberystwyth service to london, no changed to the heart of wales line.

arriva are aware that people dont use the heart of wales line because of the timings. some people dont have long to spend at their destination, others may have a 5 hour wait for a train.

no, i looked for that in timetable number 4. it only shows the current WAG service.

but now they have published their new timetable, does that mean they cannot change it before december 13th.

The WAG mark two will not run until it gets a path through Wrexham,not
before May 2010 earliest, Ministers insistence as he signs the pay cheque to ATW, Test run last month HHD to CDF, one coach behind a loco via Wrexham

As for Aber to Marylebone thats dead in the water for now

Erm why is that a waste? :-? If there is a need for a 175 to run from Chester to Manchester Airport, presumably for the first train out of there, why not run it as a service train? It happens in countries such as Germany all the time.

seems a pointles exercise then. I feel sorry for the people in Wal;es the trains musn't be regular enough for people to get from A TO B, i'd hate not having an at least hourly service

I welcome this service, how many will use it besides ATW staff, one can not
guess, the prices will have to be reasonable to beat the mini bus trade which picks up at your home (say Chester) and does the run at night in half an hour
for £40 all in, several travel agents use these mini buses in Wrexham which also takes up to 6 and does the airport in 40/45 mins at night, I have seen prices as low as £35 also all in.
