No previous rail experience

Hello all. My brother is looking to apply for a trainee driver job. Thing is he has no rail experience. Only retail and office. Will this hider him in anyway when it comes to the MMI?

How many of you come from similar backgrounds and we're successful in the MMI.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.
