Not totally unexpected announcement from Pathfinder -
"Direct Rail Services have advised us that a new class 68 locomotive will not be available to haul this excursion. We are currently awaiting confirmation from DRS of the new motive power for this excursion. Both Pathfinder Tours and Direct Rail Services are deeply disappointed. A class 68 will be on static display at the Open Day. "
I know of at least two people,who,having arranged hotel bookings in Eastleigh to do the tour,are going to be very very annoyed at this.
