At the level crossing on the Marconilaan in Bergen op Zoom a train collided with a bus. The damage is huge: the train cut the bus in half.
There were no passengers on the bus, which was on its way to the depot after the morning peak. The driver left the bus in time and was not injured, nor was anyone on the train. ProRail announced the extensive damage to the railway will take three days to repair.
The bus came to a stop on the level crossing due to a technical malfunction, the 67-year old driver explained to police.
