NIR priv rate travel

A quick question for those who may know..

The wife and I are planning to take the train from Bangor to Belfast this afternoon, to get priv rate what do we need to present at the ticket office? Is it our ATOC pass or our European Priv pass?

Hi there. NIR staff will accept anything you have, your TOC photo card will suffice, I've used mine a lot without any bother. On any case the fares are ridiculously cheap in comparison to the UK mainland.

It might be a bit late now but Bangor-Belfast (Central) is £8.10 Day Return, just as a guide. Enjoy Belfast, it's a fine city (and a fine country!).

Just to further what Tomthetank says, Newry-Londonderry via rail is roughly 150 miles - an adult Day Return ticket costs is £16.50!

We had a grand day out thanks! It cost us £2.60 return on our PRIVs which I think is an absolute bargin. The trains are a bit different to what I was used to when I lived in Bangor eight years ago, but the journey was very pleasant.

On a slightly unrelated note there were quite a few stored class 450s at Bangor and Belfast Central awaiting their fate. Are they all destined for the cutters torch?
