Hi guys, basically I have a work colleague who is also a part time photographer and his mate who owns a local photography shop has got a second hand D40 with the 18-55 lens and will sell it to him as a mate for £120 so that I can have it for the same price. Surely I have to snap his hand off for this dont I?
It looks brand new, has been traded in for a higher model so nothing sinister there and also has a years guarantee as well.

I personally wouldn't refuse that. The D40 isn't the best camera ever, but it's a foot on the ladder so to speak.

The D40 is a fairly basic SLR, IIRC it doesn't have an auto focus motor which limits your choice of lenses. But provided the camera and lens are in an ok condition then £120 sounds like a bargain!

Of course, if it doesn't suit you, you can always trade it in. Never know, might get more for it as a trade in than you paid for it!!
