I'm going to be up in Scotland in March and was looking into bits of new track to cover.
This service doesn't cover any new line for me, but I came across this interesting XC move.
21:50 Glasgow Central to Edinburgh. Covered in Table 26.
via Carstairs and then Craiglockhart, Niddrie and Portobello.
I presume it's sent this way to avoid some engineering works, but I no real idea.
Runs from 16 December.

This isn’t a new service.

It operates that way for route retention purposes.

It is in the current timetable and has been for years.

Is this guaranteed to run via the sub?

I think there is a few diversions when works are on end of December .
