Nicknames for the Civitys

Since it's being talked about a lot, I've decided to make this thread to discuss potential nicknames for the new Civitys.

Here are a few proposals:
195s & 331s - Seats (the car)
397s - Wasps
197s - Mohawks

I'd go with "boats" for 195/331, the way the body sweeps up towards the cab makes them look a bit like the hull of a boat to me.

Yes, 397s do look like angry wasps.

The grilles they have over the horns, next to the lights, look like those fitted to Seats 20 years ago.

Arent nicknames a bit old hat in the 21st century? They stereotype an entire class of train and thus cause prejudice.

Perhaps we can discuss the correct pronouns to be using instead?

That's why they should be called Caf's. It's an acronym rather than a nickname as such.

Not usually one to complain about grammar, but maybe considering we're trying to name something we could capitalise it and ditch the spurious apostrophe

I tend to just call them Civities - well, at least it's better than "Arterio" and "CityBeam"

Wouldn't it be better to name each version of the Caf Civicities, the 197s are being named stormtroopers by staff now at TFW, it's just fun though giving them names.

I still like Cavitys. I can't remember the logic for the nickname now, it's been months since it was first discussed last year! Or was it the year before, I honestly can't remember.

Fleet nicknames are just for fun, I don't see the harm in them. I still like calling 323s Starships after all!

I’ve had no issue with them on the Hope Valley, but then again my teeth are 95% ok…

Just in my head since introduction I've always thought of 195s as 'Basils', 331s as 'Sybils' and Newton Heath as Fawlty Towers. I guess that shows my age though
