Please vote in the poll :)

What have you spotted that is new?

For me, there are now York to Leeds fares routed Harrogate. I am not sure I'll ever use one though!

Also various unfair rises and a trip to London has to be treated like an airline for me now, although one of my favourite local fares has only gone up by 50p so that's not too bad!

Well my most common fare (CGM to HUL) has gone up by 15p so can't really complain.

Not checked the others yet but seeing as I have nothing better to do whilst watching England demolish Australia (cricket) I might just go do that now :)

Have you met Max? Cottingham to Hull is his local journey too! He will be relieved!

Yes it is useful but it could be far more user friendly and with less errors for example the CDR from Winchester to Waterloo (which had the restriction; "By any train scheduled to arrive London Terminals or Kensington Olympia at or after 1000. ") now reads "No Restriction Text"

Some of the restrictions down the SWML have been relaxed i.e.

Winchester - Bournemouth off-peak now starts at 08:45 instead of 09:00

Winchester to Portsmouth Hbr is now 08:30 instead of 09:00, good if using the Island line.

and SWT are tightening the restrictions on London tickets again.

Southampton - Brighton rte Barnham CDR has fallen from £17.20 to £15.00! Sadly rte Not London CDR has increased from £20.50 to £23.60, and the SDR from £23.40 to £25.20. Still excellent value when compared to the SWT priced Any Permitted SDR which is £79.90.

Any examples please?

Salisbury to London Terminals SCO (supper off-peak return):

NFM07
OUTWARD TRAVEL:

By any train except those
scheduled to arrive at
London Terminals or Kensington
Olympia Mondays - Fridays
before 1200 and connecting
trains.

NFM08
OUTWARD TRAVEL:

By any train except those
timed to depart Mondays -
Fridays before 1200.

Another typo presumably. It hasn't changed in the journey planners, as you'd expect if it was a real restriction change.

It appears that FGW have removed the following Xmas easement on some or all CDR's and SSR's which contain it now.

Restrictions are lifted on
First Great Western services
on December 24th, and 27th to
31st December 2010 inclusive.

I would expect them to remove that. It does not apply at any time during the validity of NFM 08 (2 Jan - 21 May 2011).

And I'm told that Retriction BE, which applies to the Salisbury - London Terminals SCO ticket, has not changed in The Manual from NFM 07 to NFM 08.

Harrogate routeing will mean having to get another ticket for the collection.

A couple of things I've spotted recently:

London Terminals - Manchester Stations or Manchester Airport (and, presumably, related stations) route Chesterfield Standard Anytime Single and Return have DECREASED.

£130.00/£225.00 in NFM07
£107.50/£196.00 in NFM08

Addition of "route YorK" (095) fares for London Terminals - Glasgow Central/Queen Street, priced by East Coast.

Initial Fares:

First Anytime Single: £199.00
First Anytime Return: £398.00
Standard Anytime Single: £146.00
Standard Anytime Return: £292.00
The Weekender: £170.00 (Validity Code 1S)
Off-Peak Return: £202.70 (Validity Code 1X)

Haddenham & Thame Parkway - London Terminals 7 Day Season now £85.00, putting it at the same rate as the one with dual availability at Aylesbury.

Haddenham & Thame Parkway - Zones 1-6 7 Day Travelcard now £103.00, making it more expensive than the one with dual availability at Aylesbury.

Cheers,

Barry
