NFM 06 availability?

Does any of the well-informed members on this forum have any news in this respect?

And before anyone from within ATOC (or elsewhere) invites me to buy the CD-ROM: I am NOT willing to pay the indecent amount of £14.34 for the pleasure of knowing under what restrictions I can buy tickets for travelling on your trains!

The retail price is actually £10.59 inc VAT - if it is ordered any bookshop you don't have to pay the additional £3.75 p&p charges that TSO want you to pay if you order it online from them (which I think is a bit high for a CD that doesn't weigh much!).

Indeed. Any branch of Blackwell's bookshop, who act as agents for The Stationery Office (TSO) should be able to provide it, on order, without additional P&P. Unless you want Blackwell's to deliver it.....

Here's hoping. NFM 04 never appeared online (at least not that I could find), but NFM 05 was 'up' pretty soon after going live. I'm keeping my ear to the ground for NFM 06..... or should that be 'eye on the web'?

Good to see that it has been made available by TSO. Is there any marked difference fares-wise between that and NFM 05 that ye've noticed? I'm still having to use the latter as I can't afford to upgrade.

Once again though, I - Like many others (I'd assume) - Do think it's a bit of a P-take that they refuse to make the NFM available as a free download and make the chargable CD available for those who need it in physical form, which they could easily do.
I've never been charged for copies of the Yellow Pages, the 'Phone Book, fares lists from local bus companies, or Argos catalogues etc...So only the Gods know how AToC can justify GBP 12,- ching for each passenger who doesn't want to have to 'phone NRES every time they want to look-up a fare!

...But then again, I suppose AToC are governed by the same rules that Ryanair use. Never give a monkeys about the customer - The most important thing is keeping our stock options and bank accounts above water...Although ours float above a ridiculously high tide!

I've not yet noticed any fare differences, however there's a few restriction and validity changes.
One of which is a Didcot Parkway - London Paddington Cheap Day Return, which was previously valid to return on any train from Paddington, but is now no longer valid Monday - Friday on all of these services :-

That's without delving into the world of Excess,which I have little knowledge about other than Overdistance.

Buy a Banbury to London Cheap Day return which remains valid for return travel in the evening peak from Paddington. Tis a fiver more than the Didcot to London CDR, but still a darn sight cheaper than a DID-PAD SDR ! And yes you can use it to/from Didcot, permitted route you see!

Those were the services that were 'barred' anyway, although it wasn't given in the ticket restrictions, there were other places you would find out. (journey planners, station screens and announcements, talking to the station cat etc.)

At least now they are taking some steps to actually put all the restrictions in one place. Although not necessarily where most people can see them, that would be crazy!

Apparently that's not the case for all services out of Paddington. I remember this being discussed - see http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=351673&postcount=5 for a few details.
