Carto metro shows what appears to be a representation of a formerly existent link near Limehouse, but I don't know if the viaduct here historically carried heavy rail, and if so whether the link dates from before the DLR existed.

What is now the DLR was the London and Blackwall Railway. After that closed the viaduct still had four heavy rail tracks, as it still does on the final approach to Fenchurch Street, and must have had some sort of junction in this area. Two of the tracks were replaced by DLR tracks and there has never been a track connection between DLR and the national network.
