I have to take my beloved sister (yeah right) to Truro. And be back on the same day. I'll be leaving from Leeds or York, and I was wondering if it would be possible for one of the trains to be a HST operated by AXC?? Anyone have any ideas? I could do Saturday, or Tuesday with it being a bank holiday weekend I guess... But Monday preferred

Help??

No soutbound HSTs on Mondays. How old are you and your sister? Do you have railcards?

For BH Monday, the only HST you will get on AXC is the 0830 Penzance to Dundee. And that's assuming it makes it out, as it failed on Sunday night's run to Penzance...Don't rely on it being a HST, but it should be.

Everything else that day will be a Voyager.

Well it looks like im gonna be going on Saturday now, instead of Monday/Sunday. But I'll be returning on Sunday or Monday. Does anyone know the HST times for those days? Apart from the 08:30 Penzance - Dundee thats already been said, anymore available on Sunday??

Considering it crawls round via Leeds, it doesn't surprise me.

Timetable shows it as 1424 from Derby. Although the copy I've got here says it goes to Penzance too...:???:

And, of course, you've got the lovely Carstairs Junction slowing the train to a 20mph crawl as it squeals around the corner.
