Well, I suppose, but it's not that easy to get there on the train at present !
Not to be a conspiracy theorist or anything, but isnt that kind of intentional? Wasnt it objections from the local bus company (Stagecoach or whatever) that means they terminate at Corfe Castle? Even then you still still have to go via the whole of Dorset and beyond to get even that flippin far! Haha
If you ask me, its the same reason we cant have West Somerset Railway going to Taunton. Ohhhhh that would be nice.....

The Swanage Railway runs to Norden (just a bit North of Corfe).

IIRC the track beyond the Norden Level Crossing was under the ownership of the oil company who until relatively recently were using the line for their own trains from time to time.

Bicester to Bedford (East West Rail) with construction starting in December
...

If, or when, East West Rail reaches Bedford, I predict a decade hiatus in any extension eastwards as wrangling goes on and on, before a 'temporary' solution for onward (north)-eastwards travel will be made by building a south-east curve at Manton, enabling trains to continue Bedford - Corby - Stamford - Peterboro'.

It will be one of those 'temporary' solutions that becomes permanent.
