I did notice recently, that a young person stabbed an older person and it was national news, yet when an old person stabbed a young person who later died in hospital then nothing was even heard at the time on the news, only on the internet or going and seeing for yourself. Maybe that was a fast news day and nothing much else was happening, or maybe the vunerable groups having the slightest bad thing happening to them is major news. The old, or anyone that isn't white irish or white english under sagerable age without any visable disabilities and of course, not working in a factory or in the care profetion, because all labourers and nursing profetionals are evil anyway, well they are according to lord somoneorthother in the house of lords sayin' the're all larger swilling louts. anyway I'm going on now so I'll just click the button at the bottom here

Well of course the news is biased. There's no more child murders than there were 60 years ago, but the way some papers go on about it...

You only have to be a rail enthusiasts/employee to know how biased and selective the media can be. We hear about how unsafe it is to travel on public transport, yet we later find out that rail crashes are at their lowest ever rate, and rail is now officially the safest form of transport.

Never base your world view on the Daily Mail, it's really not good for the blood pressure. We'd all end up tagged and DNA tested if it was up to them, then the undesirables (anyone that doesn't agree with them) filtered out. This is the media that loves to promote fuel protesters but is quick to condemn other protesters.

People don't trust the politicians, I'd trust the media even less. The media are simply there to sell 'a good story' to you, even the BBC are bothered about ratings.

Well there's no charity in the media, why people think they are the bastions of free speech or goodness I have no idea.

Even the BBC see fit to lock up pensioners and single mums who can't afford to pay a celebrity tax. They go on about politicians shifting wealth to the rich, but there's hardly a mechanism known to man that shifts wealth from the poor to the rich like the TV license.

The BBC only got credence because it helped the government break the General strike, these days it's known for it's left wing bias, run by a load of West London trendies who think we're all middle class.

LOL! Well I wouldn't go that far, but the TV license should be an optional subscription, read widely, do your own research, and take everything you read with a pinch of salt and be ready to challenge it.

Although I don't realy watch the news, or care realy, if the're gonna change anything that affects me, mum will tell me or I'll see it on news 24 when I can't sleep on a night. And the're a bit thick and slow aswell, Yes, all the way from Carlisle to Reading (the earthquake) and on the bottom, it said, felt across 5 counties, right, so thats Yorkshire and Northern Linconshire covered... Christ some pepole are thick, maybe they thought county ment, Barkshire, Camden, London, Heartfordshire and NORTH...

Oh, if only you were joking... the scary thing is, I can actually imagine them doing that.

They are good for comedy value, though. We should have a "score-the-Daily-Mail" article game. 10 points for a mention about immigrants, another 10 for swans, 10 for "political correctness gone mad" or "It's a postcode lottery" (double if wailed by an OAP called Doris/Betty/June/Mavis).

I suppose, its really more a viewspaper, but which one isn't? Sometimes it's good though getting the other side, even if you don't agree with it, in my humble opinion of course.

I feel that it's disgusting if you like looking at photographs of page 3 girls in newspapers.... It's meant to be current/political affairs, which may have some kind of importance to people's lives, not "who would you rather go out with?", to put it politely..

Personally, I do not like such things. I accept that some may like a less heavy daily paper (or be too thick to read a proper one), but I don't think that need centre around someone's overlarge breasts.

I wouldn't mind seeing naked men on page 3 though, well, naked John Barrowman on page 3 ..

Oh sorry, yes, current events and politics is much more important than naked women on page 3
