Looking for splitting options for Newcastle - Workington day return, Advantix shows CDR with YP to be £9.85 and SDR as £14.60. Going this Thursday but do not know if before 09.00 yet or not.

The SDR is £14.60 but the CDR is £12.00 before 10am except during July/August, the CDR is £9.85 after 10am or after 9am during July/August.

The 'Hadrians Wall Country Line Day Ranger' is £11.90 and will do you for travel all day along the Tyne Valley Line and the Cumbria Coast as far south as Ravenglass, but is not valid before 8:45. It's worth getting (well, if the 10p is worth it!) if you're going out from Newcastle on the 09:23 then, but neither later nor earlier. Otherwise I don't think there are any splitting options.

Thought not, but haven't made my mind up on what train to get yet. If I get the 09.23 means I'll have only about 4 hours there, to get the 16.29 back. May just get the one around 06.00 if it's still running.
