Apologies if this is in the wrong section but will be travelling from Newcastle to Manchester Airport on 20th March and returning back to Newcastle from Edinburgh 2 days later. There's 7 of us going but one of us is in a wheelchair. It wasn't myself who booked the tickets so not sure if anything has been specified but will any form of assistance need booking for both legs or do we just turn up and go?

It is always preferable to book assistance in advance.

If you were to just turn up, I am sure that the staff would do their best to accommodate you, but their may be delays.

Pre booking assistance will mean, for example, that staff can make sure that the wheelchair area on your chosen train is free from obstructions, or even whether another wheelchair user has booked to travel on that train.

Book now as if wheelchair spaces already booked you might not get on your chosen train.
