I,m looking to get out and about with the camera and was wondering good stations or line-side locations I,m based in Chichester so going to go to Eastleigh
Anymore suggestions??

If you're in Chichester you're not far from Littlehampton and Bognor Regis, which have the only surviving semaphore signals on the South Coast... A nice set of brackets at the throat of each.

I like St Denys. As well as the station there is a quiet road overbridge to the south where if you are driving you can sit in the car keeping an eye on Open Train Times or similar and get into position when something interesting approaches.

Depends what traction/rolling stock you're interested in. @Sun Chariot often posts pictures of aggregates trains at Chichester. Havant, Portsmouth, Eastleigh are all good stations but it really depends on what your photography is. What camera do you use?

I started a thread nigh on two years ago: a whimsical wander around my locality; encompassing Bognor & Littlehampton, Chichester, Petersfield, Havant and Totton (and some of the traffic into MoD Marchwood).
Here's my thread, attached are a few images.

A summer "challenge" deep in SWR/Southern land - Photograph loco-hauled, or light, services within within my locality. Focus is freight workings or uncommon traffic. I'll add to this thread during the year.

Not sure... I haven't been there for a few years...

Thanks Peter. It was present mid 2023. I'll negotiate with my wife, for a jaunt along the coast from Hampshire to Kent!

As just stating its really anything but the emphasis on Loco hauled freight ,The St Denys looks a good place to go as well as Eastleigh
