Newark - Manchester

Hi,

I'm looking for the cheapest fare on Saturday from Newark (either station) to Manchester (any central station). It's for 2 adults, singles, no railcards, to arrive by 15.00. I'm not bothered if the journey takes a bit longer and so have to set off earlier.

The cheapest I can find is £55 for the two tickets. Is there anything cheaper please?

Trainsplit.com can bring that down to about £47.

Or buy two singles to Nottingham (£6.40 each) and take the 10:50 National Express coach (arrives 14:35) for £11.10 each.

If going for a day buy a cdr from Fiskerton it's still valid via North Gate and Doncaster and saves you a fair bit.
