New Year - New Calender Times

Just for fun, I thought I would find out, which calendar you prefer, out of the two that have been published by the two biggest online rail enthusiast magazines.

So, the voting is for the layout, how easy it is to read, how accurate things are, and well which you generally prefer to have on your wall you they were available to buy in the shops.

Not on your list but Railway Mission. Apart from the fact it's free it is a good calendar to write dates/notes on.

The Modern Traction one is 30mb so takes a joke to load so i'll give to Railtalk.

Well Railway Mission is for Rail Staff only, so technically not everone gets the wonder of it!

Railway Herald's because the pictures are full of colour, and theres no foreign crap in it!! I would of had February's photo in December, becuase snow is associated around this time of the year.
Having said that, the picture's in RailTalk's Calender were good, but you did tend to notice they've been resized, unless you have to few them better on a higher resolution, that's a question for Andy to ask.

If I had to choose between the two linked to above, again it would be Railway Herald's for me. Being able to write a smal note on the calandar is what I expect most people want one for. Even if you could fit a word on Railtalk's, it wouldn't really show up on the dark background. The images on the Railway Herald's calandar also appear a lot clearer and generally better. However, in disagreement with BJMorley above, I don't think having one or two foreign images is a bad thing as it's sometimes nice to compare what we have with other countries.

I voted Not Bothered, but then had a look at the Railtalk one. I liked the January entry the most (unsurprisingly), but TBH I'm not bothered with a calendar this year. Hardly ever find use for one.

TBH, I don't like either. Not much use to me unless it has got a space to write notes in; I am currently using a freebie given out with a Rail Infrastructure magazine pending getting something more suitable (hopefully when I see the last set of relatives that we havn't exchanged Christmas presents with yet!).

I actually normally have two calendars, one by the table that I do most of my paperwork on and one by the computer. No. 1 choice for the last few years has been Deutschlandreise by Eisenbahn Kurier.
