On a train...somewhere!
The recently formed Wensleydale Diesel Traction Group, based at the Wensleydale Railway and with the aim of operating locomotive hauled trains on the line as part of special events following the success of last year's Diesel Gala have established 2 new websites.

One, for information on forthcoming events, membership and some photos has been established at the following address:

http://www.wensleydaledtg.co.uk

Whilst another, dedicated purely to photographs, has been set up at:

http://www.wensleydaledtg.fotopic.net

Please talke the time to have a quick look at these sites and show your support for this newly formed group. Please feel to leave comments regarding previous events etc. via the 'leave message' facility on the fotopic.

Cheers,
Jonathon :D

Weird coloured stock you have there.:D

James

The wierd coloured stock is thanks to the local contingent of yobbos who seem to think that the coaching stock at Leeming Bar is a blank canvas for their 'artwork'. All coaches were painted grey undercoast and are due to be red and cream but the red patches are only testers with no further progress possible before the event. It is planned to install a siding in the place of the old loop at Leyburn in the near future as somewhere to store the stock and try to minimise damage by vandals.

Updates to the fotopic should be happening in the next week or so with plenty of works trains thanks to operation springclean. If anyone's interested in going out photting see this linl fot a timetable:http://www.wensleydalerailwayassociation.com/resources/InfrastructureWorkPlan2009Q1.pdf

Hi all,

As well as the official sites listed above I am in the process of making another site aimed at helping photographers with a list of workings on the WR. Times, traction and notes will be provided where applicable with photos and write-ups detailing the workings after they happen. A list of locomotives that have visited and have been based at the line has been included.

Completion should be reached by the end of the week

The little ******* seem to manage to get just about everywhere! <( There is a couple of ways they could get into the station but it is closer to houses and is being watched so should be a lot safer. There hasn't been any problems with graffiti on the bridges there so it's definately worth a try and should free up space at Leeming.

As for
at least they did not spray there tags on the coaches
see the attatchments to see what the yobbish little ******** did to the coaches whilst they were at Leeming :(
