New VTEC TVMs

At Waverley there's some new VTEC TVMs on the concourse. Not as red as I'd thought they would have been! Seem to have good functionality, can get advance tickets with reservations from them too!

Both! Had a play about with it and could get Advance tickets on west and east coast. Didn't try other operators but this seems like an improvement!

Indeed. Hopefully they also offer Off-Peak tickets when they are appropriate as well.

Sound like some of the new ones on SWT. Not sure how many we have, but a number of stations have a new one that connects to a video contact centre if help is needed. But having a play around they have anywhere to anywhere journey planning and you can can actually buy advance purchase tickets. The look is very similar to the new SWT website. Very different to the existing TVMs that just give you ticket prices and it is not always clear what trains you can use a ticket on.

TVMs with a journey planner, sounds good - is this an answer to those who said it couldn't be done?

Got them in Xurham and Newcastle, however they havent been particularly reliable. Then again neither have the TPE ones at Yarm and Thirsk!
