I have added a "BVE Tools" section to my website, which will hopefully host some downloadable BVE tools, as well as tutorials.

I have already written one tutorial, which is aimed at route developers. It is a simple method of adding extra distance to your routefile, should you want to add an extra few hundred metres into you file that you missed out, or should you want to add whole route to the beginning of your existing line (as is the case with the Network North West).

It’s a simple method using Excel, but will save you loads of time and effort!

Hope it's of use!

I'm partially a BVE developer, I sadly just don't have the time at the moment but I understand the principals, coding etc!

Good guide Rich, certainly was a lot of use to me. :)

Nice one Rich. Good to see all these tutorials coming out to help encourage new developers. I've certainly learnt stuff I didn't know thanks to Dennis' tutorials and I'm sure it will be the same with your's :)

Without wishing to hijack Rich's thread, I noticed that not many developers seem to make use of the .pole command. As I have rather a lot of them to insert between Newcastle and Berwick, I set of to find out how it works, and how I could use poles other than the default Japanese ones... you can read about it in my blog on my site.

Anything we can contribute to make BVE easier to use and simpler to develop for must be a good thing!

Regards
