Are the 68s that troubleprone?

No, and this has nothing to do with the 68s, per se, other than the fact they are pure diesel with diesel loco emissions. The call for interest, is for electric locos with diesel capability, in the vein of the Class 88s already operating. All part of the decarbonizing/ 'Green' push.
