Just checked with the Network Rail baseline capability (basically a sectional appendix) here: http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse...ute availability\Western Route&pageid=0&root=
37's are cleared Maidenhead-Bourne End with the exception of 37/7s and 37/9s. MK1s and MK2s are also allowed but not MK3s. They are subject to a speed limit somewhere but that information is missing.
37s are banned from Twyford-Henley unless assisting a failed train in an emergency though. In fact the only locomotives allowed are Class 08s.
I presume Spitfire would have been in contact with Network Rail about this and may perhaps have special authority to run their train to Henley.
All the relevant checks have been done our end, the full spec is with Network Rail, there has been notification of reciept and acceptance.
(Famous last words really on a complex charter like this!).
