So what's your problems with this change then?

mines:

CENTRAL TRAINS

1. From Marston Green and stations along that line, how do we get to the old 07:40 to Crewe and Liverpool, which i now beleve arrives in at 07:53 and turns into the 07:57 to Wolverhampton, BUT the original service to Liverpool now departs at 07:51?? With no suitable connection to the original service which provided brilliant connections with for example the 09:03 from Crewe to Holyhead for the boat and now it starts from Walsall where i doubt it will provide much more connections compared running from International. Plus departing earlier loosing more connections?

2. Services to Gloucester/Cardiff do not exist at all on Saturdays in August? Or will they be published as busses about a week or so before it all starts?

trent valley local withdrawn for summer time table both north and south, 19.09ex northampton to rugby, now goes as 19.09 to cov calling at long buckby and cov no rugby, all to do with the re-moddeling, might be what is affecting the service above

So Central Trains will be running services calling everywhere except Rugby? Why?

they will still be calling there just not certain ones, same applies to virgin, with all the re-moddeling going on there is limited capacity, the 1909 only runs to rugby( norm bay 8) but these out of use soon , it will continue to cov, but not call at rugby, same reason behind the removal of the trent service, but they will be back next tt change.

Not really a mishap... but SWT have made a change to the clockface timetable (!!!!!) at Bournemouth, the 0959 is shifted to 0955 to allow an extra 5 to come on at Soton.

Whilst they also pump their fares up massively...Makes me soooooo glad I don't have to travel with SWT...

Haven't seen anything major in my local operators' timetables yet, something obvious will probably show up soon.

Why not?

Am I right in thinking these new fare increases do not apply to Travelcards e.g. "Zone R1256 Zones" (on Avantix)?

Tom, do you mean 5 minutes or 5 coaches, the "come on" suggests the latter? (Yes down here we do have trains that are longer than 3 coaches!)

The fare increases apply to travelcards, get a normal CDR price and slap on about £2.

It runs 4 minutes earlier in order to slap 5 more coaches on at Soton.

What does this mean in terms that a railway illiterate like myself can understand? ;)

That South West Trains have got a Bournemouth service leave there earlier to allow 5 extra carriages to join a set at Southampton Central.
