Got a new stock Devon Ranger from the ticket office at Cheltenham on Saturday, although it was old stock up the road at Gloucester on Monday.

In the last 2 weeks, I've noticed that Exeter Central is still using older stock in at least some of their TVMs, but I was pleased to be issued with a Devon Day Ranger from Axminster Ticket Office which was printed on the new stock.

Cosham has new stock.

I got a ticket on a 377, old stock.
Coming back on a different one, another passenger got new stock.

Forget about new ticket design, Northern Rail have recently filled some of their TVMs with tickets promoting advance rail tickets for the 2012 games.

No point wasting them.

The TVMs at Telford Central and Wellington both have the new stock.

Unfortunately we're yet to receive any in the booking office!

Will update the list I am compiling, Capenhurst had the new stock in sometime this last week, the old style blanks were placed in the bin (until I got them ;) yes I know it's trampy to go through bins but there was only a can in there otherwise). Surprisingly, the right hand TVM at Chester has now got the old stock back in again, I used it last week and it had new stock but I used it today and it's the old stock.

Garswood station is still issuing old stock if anybody's at all interested

(Thought I might bring the list forwards so people don't have to go back.)

Back on topic.. can we compile a list of the ticket issuing locations which are using the new style stock?

TP

Sure ;)

I know these tickets appear to be rolled out everywhere and a lot of places have them but I'll compile a list. And I'll keep editing it, but it's going to be a big list!

An update on the Southampton Airport (Parkway) situation: last time I was there (Friday), the TVM on the down platform was NOT actually issuing the new stock - so the only place I've actually confirmed is the far left TVM outside the ticket office (the one that seems least broken... all the up platform TVMs seem pretty messed up at SOA).

I was on the train passing through Stourbridge Junction a few days ago and spotted one or two people with the new design on ticket, although I'm not sure whether they're from the TVM or the ticket office, in fact they may have been from Stourbridge Town to be honest! Either way, I'll investigate within the next few days...

I've just gone to Manchester and noticed this morning that half my tickets were on the new ticket stock and the other half the old (the TVM having two printers). This was from WGC.

I got tickets on both old and new stock from the platform-side TVM at Grimsby Town yesterday. Seemingly quite random which ticket's gone on which stock.

Norwich has seemingly gone back to 9499 old stock in the ticket office now...

Last Sunday, the gateline staff at EMT's platforms at St. Pancras issued my MegabusPlus gate pass from an Avantix on the new stock.

New or old style?

I might have assumed new, but the 4 posts before yours are talking about old style...

New style.

It would be a sad day indeed when we start listing locations which are still on the 'old' style stock.

About three years ago I got a green weekly season ticket from a machine on Great Northern with British Rail printed on it. Someone must have been clearing out a cupboard. I think the TVM was replaced for a new model after that

Birchwood ticket office has new stock. I printed a load of advances from Birchwood's TVM and got some on old stock ,some on new, not in any order either.

Do people prefer old stock then?
The new stock isn't really different enough to be disliked or liked particularly in comparison with the old (I'm sure someone will come along and disprove this statement!)

The TVM at Slaithwaite (didn't even know there was one until today- albeit only on the Huddersfield-bound platform- not much good if you're going to Manchester!) was dispensing old stock this afternoon.

I much prefer the new ones- 'National Rail' makes more sense than 'Rail Settlement Plan'!
