Hi,

Just renewed my Gold Card and it is on the regular Gold Card stock but is printed in the ‘new’ style - which looks a right mess for a ticket I’ve just paid over a grand for, as the pre-printed bits are all in the wrong place, some of the printing is close to illegible as it is over the pre-printed bits, and some text (eg. ‘valid until’) is both pre-printed and then printed again :(

Has anybody else had this yet?

No I have not heard of that before. How strange. Please could you show us a photo?

Here we are, in most of its awful glory (with slight redactions).

I suppose at least the to/from and validity are fairly clear, but... ugh :(

!@!@! Yet another triumph for the pre-release testing of GB railway ticket issuing systems.

Yes, that's not gone well at all has it...

Just wow. It's incredible how poorly the introduction of the new ticket style and Avantix replacement has been handled really.

I'm not even aware of new style Gold Card stock. Are there actually any around?

I am aware some GA TIS need to select an option for printing on Gold card stock, perhaps wrong option was chosen by clerk ?

Hahahahaha that looks truly awful! It is hilarious how the ransom dot is nowhere near the route section and the price is right at the bottom instead of under its heading at the top. Does anyone have a link to one the has been printed correctly or a sample image of one? I have not seen any season tickets printed in the new style before and didn't even think one was needed. They didn't need "simplifying" as someone who pays thousands of pounds knows exactly what they are buying at the time of purchase!

This whole new ticketing thing has been a disaster. I bought a ticket from the office at Luton last week; perfectly clear and easy to read. Today I bought one from a ticket machine at Luton and it's tough going to read it; the Thameslink revenue person on the train really struggled. It really has been a solution to a problem that didn't exist.
