could anybody tell me if the New Springs TMD in Wigan is still in use, I have tried to find our but not having much success.

Is it also known as Wigan Springs Branch TMD? It was being used as a component recovery centre but i'm not sure whether thats the case.

Springs Branch sees use these days as a store for disused wagons and as a stabling point for MPVs and OTMs. I think some maintenance work is done on the MPVs there - sometimes see the shed doors open with one poking out. A very quiet place on the whole these days.
