Hoping an Oyster expert can answer...
Yesterday, I travelled to Harringay station on the Great Northern and made a short walk to Harringay Green Lanes station, to photograph the progress of electrification works on the Gospel Oak to Barking line.
Is this a so-called OSI (out-of-station interchange) ? On the Oyster single fare finder, there is a fare listed for avoiding Zone 1, but this is for the more obvious route, via Highbury And Islington station and using London Overground via Camden Road, to Willesden Junction

The single fare finder and journey planner are designed for "normal" journeys rather than the vagaries or train spotters.

According to the TfL website it is an OSI.

It definitely is an OSI, but as it stands for the journey quoted it would not work. The route needs to be defined in the single fare finder (or use my Oyster fare finder). As it isn't you would be charged the default fare.

I'm curious. Where have you ascertained that? Can you post a link? I know that the information is on the TfL website, but it's not in an obvious place at all, nor is it in a very user friendly format. Unless they've finally changed their policy, hence this question.

There is an OSI list at the following location:

https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/out-of-station-interchanges

The list can also be found by typing 'OSI' or 'out of station interchange' into the search function on the site.

Thank you for that. That is actually the location I was talking about where the list isn't in a really user friendly format. But, I notice they've just added a long awaited new OSI so I'm off to update my site right now.

BTW. It's Euston Square to Warren Street.
