Anyone got this latest release? Is it substantially different from the previous two releases or more or less the same? I saw from their YT video that it has a completely new, more detailed, passenger view, but apart from that it looked (and sounded) the same.

It's pretty similar, no noticeable differences other than the pax view like you say. If you own the 101 SPT or older version don't bother buying it until it's at least 50% off. Even then it's only to add to the collection and for Quick Drive etc.

Thanks. I already have the other two, so I think I'll give it a miss then.

Can't get it to appear on Quick Drive. It's not that different apart from the passenger view. Basically a reskin posing as new DLC.

....what a surprise.

When did you buy it?

It should have Quick Drive.

People who have purchased DLC over the past 3 or 4 days haven't been able to use it, RSC pass you off to Steam. When I asked RSC to ask Steam why as it is a common issue, they said it's not their problem - great customer service.

Bought it on Friday. Have verified game cache etc and it still doesn't show as available in Quick Drive. This means its restricted to the measly two and a half ECML scenarios that come with it. (Although there are some good Workshop scenarios available)

I am less impressed with RSC with each passing day.....

Or you could spend the ten seconds it takes to create a free roam and put it in any route you wanted, the manuals tell you how to do this. That's not entirely restricted, is it?

Obviously there has been a mistake with the distribution of the Quick Drive PreLoad folder, it will no doubt be fixed soon enough, but to claim you are restricted to this or that, it's wrong.

RSC are ripping people of on everything! Simply updating older models to the new RSC features and giving some other re-skins is stupid

They aren't, you don't have to buy anything. Of course you are entitled to an opinion though. :p

Fair enough, but the whole point of Quick Drive is not having to do all that.

Some of us aren't comfortable with game editors and just want to play the game out of the box with the DLC we've paid for.

And I also can't use any of the Workshop scenarios. When I try to play them it tells me I don't have the 101:roll:

They're probably set up for the old 101s, as this one has only just come out.

Probably

Meanwhile, the 101 still doesn't appear in Quick Drive, although it can be made to appear by continuous pressing of the "Random" button.

I've since bought the BR423 EMU, and guess what - it doesn't appear in Quick Drive either. Good model though and indisputably a new one as well. A German EMU is a welcome addition, and makes German routes more genuine than reskinned 166's ever could.

Have you emailed RSC Support? People might not be, which would mean RSC don't know about it.
