New Refurbished Avanti trains

Hi All

I have a couple of journeys to make to Glasgow and back and am keen to try and get on one of the refurbished trains - is there anyway I can plan to be on one?

You could try checking on Realtimetrains by going through each Glasgow service and seeing what the allocation is - ie if the unit number is one if the refurbished sets, but that would only work on the day and wouldn't be cheap.

Otherwise, AFAIK, use is not restricted to any particular services or diagrams.

As in simply seeing them or travelling on them?

Euston would surely have the greatest chance of either, but you are unlikely to be allowed on the platforms there unless travelling.

Euston barrier staff have a reputation for being a bit stern shall we say, to put it politely.
