it will be interesting to see how they deliver the extra intermediate carraiges for the pendolinos.... by road or in batches by rail.
its a shame that common sense hasnt hit anyone at DfT... and come to understand that there is more sense in ordering enough intermediate carraiges to lengthen all the pendolinos to the same length rather than lengthen part of the fleet, and ending up with whoever operates the ICWC franchise suffering overcrowding problems when an 11 carraige pendo has to be substituted by a 9 carraige... and more to the point, causing overcrowding problems for the paying passengers that generate income for the government and its contractor
