I was surprised to see, when I arrived at the East Kent Railway earlier, that a new Southern Region Motor Luggage Van has arrived on site. The MLV, number 68009 was previously preserved at the Colne Valley Railway in Essex.
This means, the EKR now has four of these unique vehicles, 68001, 68002, 68008 and 68009.
The EPB Preservation Group owns the units, aswell as 4-BEP/CEP 7105 and 2-EPB 5759.

Lets hope they leave this one in its colours and not painted it green <D other wise EKR will have one boring livery, If they are painting it they should do it in the RED MLV we saw on steve smith layout.:D

James, this one is green. It has nothing to do with the East Kent, as it has been bought by the EPB Preservation Group. By the way, there are very few trains at the EKR that are green! Like, 3 or 4 trains are green!
I agree, the Royal Mail red would be brilliant though!

On a train...somewhere!
We've an MLV at wensleydale. The bloody thing isn't going anywhere and is just the resident @!*^ heap! I think we should put it on 703's batteries and see how long it is before 47715 is called upon to assist! <D

Some may call this sadistic...

In your shot its in BR blue :-? Yeah I know it has nothing to do with the EKR yeah I know its been bought by the EPB as you have said  Most off the stock down there is near green the two NSE MLV should be left like they are so should of the gronk in its connex livery , but when you tell Ian Coleman this he gets the hump and says its copyright and that bollocks  it I think the EKR should have a SECR O class back down there :p

Taking off EKR I see there doing there 1st beer festival this year if you do plenty off advertise you get loads off people to come just like the SKLR Steam & Beer 8-) but this is Gronk & Beeer

PS I just done a cheque to join the EKR just neeed to seed it now:)

Yeah your right the Royal Mail red would be brilliant but Mr baines wont do it i doublt.

The photo is Green mate.

The only stock at EKR that is green, is MLV 68001 (one side) and a bit, 2-EPB, the front end of 68008, one side of D4113, and Ruston 427. Everything else, apart from that COR thing is in an other colour. (Oh, and the new MLV)

The 101 is blue, the Thumper is Connex, the E/E is Black, 68002 NSE, no fully green coaches, Snowdown is Bluey Greeny, 4-CEP is SWT, and the rest of the stuff.
