If we're talking about the S Stock then the answer is 'it depends'!

Then the answer is they do close properly, and function exactly as designed. If something obstructs the door and upsets the sensitive edge then what happens is supposed to happen.And if we're talking about the 09 Stock...
I was on the Victoria line during the morning peak (8.45am) and the platform dispatchers and the driver of our train actually sounded like they were pleading for people to stand clear of the doors!
It really did sound like they knew that if anyone did get in the way, everything would blow up, and you could hear the fear in their voices! We did get stuck at King's Cross for a bit as people obviously still ran for the closing doors, but it didn't break the train completely - thank goodness!
I wonder what the stress levels are like for staff working on that line!! Can we blame Bombardier for the increase in early retirement and heart attacks now?

Even more reason to use Chiltern after December Amersham/Chesham trains call at all stations off peak. Fast trains will only run at peak times and will call additionally at Wembley Park.

The thing is, sensitive door edges are a legal requirement from which LUL are not exempt. It affects NR as much. Go to Clapham Junction in the PM peak and see people trying to force themselves on 450s - every time someone barges into the doors they reopen.

For the last few months every fast train bar one that I have been on when bashing A stock has called at Wembley Park... The one that didn't was southbound; all the northbound ones made the call even when it wasn't indicated at Baker Street.
Question: Will anything still miss out Preston Road and Northwick Park off peak? If not we can probably look forwards to a few delays with southbounds leaving Harrow on the Hill...

On 92ts I believe if people lean on the doors it lags the acceleration of the train. Is this true?
Depends what you mean by lags the acceleration. It doesn't simply make it slower, no. But the combination of people leaning on a door and the train accelerating can cause the door to slide open partially, thus causing the train to loose the pilot light / breaking the round train circuit, causing the emergency brakes to apply until the door is again fully closed. It doesn't just make the train accelerate slower, it completely shuts off the motors temporarily...

Happens constantly on a busy train. Some drivers often say for people to stay away from the doors but I'm not sure they know what it does!
No, they're not even half way yet - the A Stock still out-number the S Stock.
Your best bet is to head to Aldgate or Uxbridge. I got off at Aldgate last week and only had to wait ten minutes for an S Stock to arrive. I believe Aldgate services run to Uxbridge mainly, during the middle of the day.

As S Stock can now be mixed onto any services and Amersham/Chesham trains turn at Baker Street off-peak, i would suggest Baker Street or Finchley Road as everything stops there.
