New Megabusplus Routes

Appears that Megabus are expanding the megabusplus operation.

Looking at the website seems to be using the SWT London - Honiton, with coaches operating from there to Bude, Tiverton, Penzance and many other places.

A move by Stagecoach during the disruption at Dawlish or a longer term operation?

It's temporary while the line is closed, but you never know with Megabus/Stagecoach, if it proves successful it might become permanent.
I believe it's being operated by an external contractor but not 100% sure who, I think it could be Hamilton Grey.

Although Temporary its available to book up until the 17th April, which is as far as bookings go on Megabus website at present, Dawlish is down to reopen now on 4th April.

I have just had a play around and got a 90p fare from Bude to Waterloo on 17th April (day before Good Friday) with my NUS discount!

I've heard they may try to keep the service going to try and convert some of FGW passengers revenue across to them.

It is HG (who often have some coaches stationed in the local Stagecoach yards, which is prob why SSW got them in)

That explains the coach I saw at Exeter Bus station a while back.

This approach makes sense as the journey times from London to Cornwall will be significantly reduced compared to a coach all the way.

I see Stagecoach have ordered 17 new coaches for 2014, some, if not all will be for Megabus, are they for expanded services or to replace older vehicles?
