Maybe pop the question on there stating job role, company and when you applied. Someone might be in a similar position. Alternatively contact the company HR. I did and I had a very informative phone call surrounding the future.

Hi I have several operative applications in at network rail and I have found that some are moving forward and some seem to be staying where they are. They are all different locations so I'm guessing that some are being quicker than others. I notice that you are also trying to get a job at network rail its very true what everyone on here says it really is a case of being persistent getting a job on the railway is no joke. I must of applied for 15 jobs for operative and 1 crossing keeper job now and its bloody hard!

Network Rail certainly are. I received all my contract details yesterday and was told I'd be contacted regarding a medical in the next few days.

Thanks Sam. Its bloody difficult just to even get an interview even with a trade background and working in a safety critical environment. It will be worth it in the end
