This may be of interest to some people as there are a few interesting videos on here...

Spa Films, which has possibly made more railway films than
any other UK company covering topics, such as train
braking, SPADs, TPWS, DRA, track safety etc have teamed up
with Track Access Services to develop an internet based TV
channel which allows access and downloading of numerous
films: www.RailNetChannel.tv
The site is still under development but already nearly 50
railway safety training and briefing films have been
uploaded. Whilst many of the films are historical, some still
make interesting viewing. A number of the films are still
relevant, for example, ‘Introduction to Signalling’, Braking
in Snow (this illustrates the importance of frequent running
brake tests) and Cat A and Cat B SPADs.
Track Access Services and SPA Films are still finalising how
the site will be funded. Meanwhile, they are keen for companies
to provide copies of any DVDs that can be shared within the industry,
subject to approvals. The site will give easy access to a library of films,
providing a useful resource for trainers and safety briefers.

What plug-in's do you need to watch the video's? On Firefox the player doesn't even appear, on Internet Explorer I'm just getting sound...

It would appear to be bog standard flash player 10, if you can watch youtube videos you should be able to watch these, as both use the same system, just different interfaces.

Hmm, weird... I've installed Flash Player 10.1 now (I was on 10.0 before) but I still can't watch the vast majority of video's on this site. Bizarrely, I've found two video's that I can watch, both of these are 'track access' cab films (ST. DENYS TO FAREHAM & DONCASTER TO KINGS CROSS), there's a small flashing black box in the middle of the video, but they're still watchable.

I'm still getting nothing of the other video's via Firefox and sound only via IE. Weird, heh? And I'm the only one?

I've looked at a number of videos on this new site without problem. (Running IE8 under Windows 7.)

As a final update, I installed Flash Player again on IE and restarted the computer, I'm now getting the video on IE with the only problem being a little black flashing box in the middle of the picture (may be my graphics card?), but that's bearable as the video's are really good. Still nothing on Firefox though.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Thanks for the help chaps and thanks for the link GB, it's a very interesting site.

Probably graphics card related, the videos take an age to download so i'd say they are pretty hefty file sizes!

One thing I have noticed watching the videos is that the presenter is the same!

It looks like the same man being a guard on 'On Time - Each Time' at [stn]LST[/stn], on the more recent LOROL video & presenting loads of the track/level crossing vids!

Don't know if it is cause I'm not watching the Vids again to see the credits (as the time selector don't seem to be working)!
